AV Tech - Springfield's Home Theater Specialists
Rich and Bob are the owners of AV Tech. They strive to be the best and like doing the work themselves. You will see either Rich or Bob at every job we do. Most times both of them will be there and are passionate about doing things right.
Although the business officially started in 2002, unofficially we started our careers long before that. About 1997 we both attended classes to learn more about acoustics, how movies and TV are created, and how proper equipment and set up affects performance. Classes were lead by leading experts in the field and our classmates were other industry professionals from organizations like Dolby Digital, THX, etc.
By 1999 we held certifications from the Imaging Science Foundation, Home Acoustics Alliance, Cedia Installer I, II and Designer. We traveled across the country for many classes, some at THX and Dolby Digital. We started this to gain knowledge to optimize our own systems.
Our backgrounds compliment each other, Rich with a wealth of construction knowledge and Bob with programming and electronics experience. This combination works out great for making system integrate into your room, perform optimally and are easy to use.
In 2002 we made formed a partnership and made this our business. We continue to educate ourselves and keep up on the latest techniques and equipment. We hope you consider us for your Audio and Video desires.
